Griffin ipod nono snap-wrap wrist watch cases

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, November 26, 2010, In : Tech fashion

This one you can get right now, Not quite as slick as the tiktok but there's no denying that at $25 it does the job of making an ipod nano wearable in a fun fashion kind of way. It works just like a snap-wrap band.

From faux urban armour for carrying stuff to fluid dresses

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, November 26, 2010, In : Tech fashion

Its an interesting concept as far as keeping the art or knitting alive goes a decade post the turn of the millennia, especially when I don't know anyone that knits or at least I'm not aware of anyone that does. Obviously any ladies looking to uniquely outdo their fellow peers might just need an assistant to cart the pump around for it to actualy work. It still made for an interesting wearable light show all the same. Still not sure I could convince the missus to wear it though, not that I'd t...

Crossing Tokyo Traffic

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Thursday, November 25, 2010, In : Tech fashion

Does it look good? Yes. Can I tell the time on it? No. Which means it can't be anything else other then Tokyo flash. If you can be bothered taking the time to get over the relatively steep and unique learning curve as far as telling the time goes you can depend on Tokyo flash to deliver on the digitally fashionable time piece front as per usual. Just don't actually try telling the time on it whilst crossing busy traffic.

Carrying off the body armour look...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Thursday, November 25, 2010, In : Tech fashion

This will either make you think turtleback or SWAT  with its body armour look. By the looks of it I reckon you'd have to be quite selective about what you actually put in it to keep it comfortable and fashionably contoured whilst wearing it. Either way it was different enough as a relatively tidy functional accessory for carrying stuff to warrant a bit of a mention here.  Just don't expect to be putting much else in it if you plan on toting around a 17 inch Macbook pro with it. $80 from Built...

Yet another HTC Windows 7 phone, the only difference being is I got to briefly test this one out...(HTC reckon its Mozart)

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Monday, November 22, 2010, In : smartphones

This was my first hands on with any kind of Windows 7 phone ever and I reckon that this latest offering of yet another wire free talkie stick to come from the HTC stable was pretty smart in both its default built purpose and actual design. Overall it felt compact to have a nicely weighted feel about it (that doesn't mean heavy though) which added to a feeling of sturdiness too. I think that fact that it was crafted from a single piece of aluminium no doubt helped out there a little. It'd be f...

Finally, a decent ipod nano touch wrist watch design...(still looking for investors...)

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Saturday, November 20, 2010, In : Tech fashion

I remember when I first saw the latest refresh of the iPod Nano and I'm certain many people had the exact same thought of making some sort of wrist strap for it in order to turn it into a wrist watch.  I still haven't gotten round to wearing earplugs when I sleep yet either. Anyhow since then we've seen a whole bunch of manufacturers vying for us to turn our pennies into a wearable iPod nano holder of some kind to give that distinct time piece look. After ignoring a number of shrug worthy eff...

18mm thick Lenovo IdeaPad U260 released today

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Monday, November 15, 2010, In : Ultra portables laptops

I wasn't too crazy about the fact that nearly all the different colours you can get this thing in was verging on different variants of pink, but aside from the pink themed colour options I'd say as an exercise in design it definitely gets my vote.  Today also just happens to be the day that it gets unleashed onto the consuming market stateside at a dollar shy of a $900 recommended retail price tag. All those interested the stats look like this:

- The 3.04-pounds
- 12.5-inch HD display
- Core...

It's a desktop computer....

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, November 12, 2010, In : Computers

That's right, that cube with curves being held by some hand model is an actual desktop computer. Its potentially capable of accommodating a 35watt 64-bit AM2 2.2GHz dualcore processor, 4GB of RAM, with a host of externally accessible sata and e-sata ports so you can connect any sort of sata storage device you like to it. Other then that I'd say it was a pretty slick concept not to mention its very easy on the retina, but at $50 short of $900 its not the cheapest of options on the mini PC fron...

Finally a reason to maybe Jabra...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Thursday, November 11, 2010, In : Bluetooth devices

I've only just started getting onto video IM chat on a regular basis which made me think about some sort of tidy solution. Bluetooth headsets then came to mind. I've never really been a fan of Bluetooth headsets. Not because they make people look crazy as they animatedly walk down the street talking loudly to appear like they're talking to themselves but mainly because most just don't look all that great. Those that kind of look good are generally a little over priced for my liking considerin...

Yep forget USB 3.0 it looks like Intel might be rolling out their Light Peak optical cable interface as early as 2011. To give you an idea of how fast that is here's some easy numbers:

54 megabits per second - most home Wi-Fi
100 megabits per second - wired Ethernet
400 megabits per second - firewire
480 megabits per second - USB 2.0
1,000 megabits per second - wired Ethernet (gigabit adaptor)
1,600 megabits per second - firewire S1600
3,200 megabits per second - firewire S3200
5,000 megabits per s...

Another reason to stay in bed for longer on the weekends

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, November 5, 2010, In : Misc

I'm sure there's a more serious application for this thing, but if I got my hands on one it'd purely be used as way of using my computer in bed when all I want to do is really go to sleep but have to be on an instant messenger for whatever reason since I'm pretty quick on a Palm smartphone. No doubt I'd also pick up where I'd left off at the weekends too after a yawn, stretch and belly scratch. How lazy is that? The EFO iPazzPort works on Linux, Mac, PC, Wiiand XBox360. Randomly also has a la...

Aerodynamically mashin' out on electro with a Traktor S4

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, In : Digital audio Production & DJ gear

I'd never really paid that much attention to these types of controllers before period, and it wasn't unitl I'd actually seen what could be done with one of these things did I kind of pay a little attention. I don't think I'll look at these things in the same way again after the antics captured in the video thats for sure. Just hit the play button on the video just below to see what I mean. Warning, electrofied cut up mash up madness in sues... if you have, blah, blah, blah.... press play.

XONE:DB4 ups the ante on the digital club mixer front...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, In : Digital audio Production & DJ gear

I pretty much missed the exclusive on this, but it looks like world renowned and UK based makers of pro industry audio hardware Allen & Heath went and did it again. This time they've gone digital with the XONE:DB4 DJ FX mixer. It boasts a dedicated looper on each of the 4 channels allowing you to sample up to a length of 4 bars and switch them up via the host of dedicated FX assigned to each of the channels. Basically it'll let you feel out and build new grooves, rhythms and patterns on th...
