The new Panasonic "tough" range now has a "tough pad"

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Thursday, January 17, 2013, In : Tablet PC

I'd normally just pass over words reading "Panasonic tough book/touch pad" for someone else to pick up like bread ends of a sliced loaf. They usually conjure up thoughts of serious business and serious in the field work for serious things. Even the Lenovo brand has a little more edge to it then it used to with its more hipster like range of machines. But this article firmly imprinted the words of "Panasonic tough pad" firmly in my brain. For the full coverage of the press conference and prev...

Windows tablet RT…(is it worth it?)

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, In : Tablet PC

With so much talk of Windows tablet knocking about for so long , there's now finally a whole bunch of stuff rolling in about it in terms of full hands on assessments of what people reckon of the RT version. Here's what I make of it all ...

Mistakes they made: Included the slip cover keyboard with review units? People were bound to complain about it, although the tablet was supposed to be a tablet with a "modern poppy feel" it can't shake perceptions of optionally potentially being used as a ...

A couple of sliding touch tablets… (finally something to post!)

The gimmick of sliding...

Not sure what the deal is with the sliding laptop/tablet hybrids but CES 2010 seems to have pulled up a couple for show. I guess it was different enough to feature. The first to make the rounds and land somewhere in my browsing path was an ASUS offering giving Android as the OS for doing stuff on it. At the moments its still not quite reached its final retail working of it with there apparently still being a few reported issues with how it does what it does as a sli...

core i5 refresh for HP's TM2 tablet

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, July 23, 2010, In : Tablet PC

It looks like the TM2 isn't quite ready to fade into the background of yesterdays already covered multi-touch tablet tech news quite just yet with their soon to be latest refresh. All of which ties in quite nicely with my previous post as their latest update brings to the table a corei5 for all the more security conscious amongst us that need or want a little more processing power and maybe also some lag free on the fly data encryption to keep all your digital doings free from fewer prying ey...

Dual touchscreen computing device finally makes it to consumer market reality... (...in a few months time that is)

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Monday, June 21, 2010, In : Tablet PC

We've seen concepts of dual touch screen laptop like devices kicking around for some time now, the first of which I remember originally being penned in for a potential future OLPC design that would have probably never made it off the drawing board anyway especially at the price they wanted to bring it into existence at. It wasn't that I doubted that it could be done for the low price that they were suggesting in any realistic way, but with all the politics and many-many traffic lights still o...

Core i3 TM2t finally lands for under a grand

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Sunday, May 16, 2010, In : Tablet PC

The first of the TM2t refreshes finally lands capable of turning 2.13GHz of cycles on the upside over 2 cores on a core i3. I guess in trying to keep pricing under the $1000 mark they could hardly be throwing in a discrete GPU option into the mix, however as far as integrated GPU options go you couldn't really go far wrong in using a corei3 since it includes the GPU directly on the actual core i3 processor for some serious integrated bottle neck free HD visual feedback when going about doing ...

Affordable general consumer targeted tablet PC experience getting better?

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Sunday, May 9, 2010, In : Tablet PC

So I've finally decided I'm going to have to include stuff that don't yet quite have groundings as far as consumer availability goes since there was a whole slew of gadgetry antics I wanted to mention but had to leave out for not fitting the criteria of actually being currently available with a price tag. But then what is tech talk if we can't flow futuristic as it were.

Having been a long user of the TX2 tablet (not the tablet in the pictures) there was always this nagging thought at the b...
