It looks like I caught news of this cake slightly warm  rather then fresh out of the oven but Windows 8 is now officially available to download within the general public domain for testing/preview purposes by developers. So if data allowance and bandwidth isn't at a premium where you are you can pick it up off of Redmond's most likely totally blitzed servers right now. But at near 5GB's it's going to take a little while longer then Windows 7 test build did to get on your target test setup. Apparently no activation is required for the Windows 8 public test preview.
