I don't have one by the way, a beard that is. Nor do I look anything like the various mythological images of Zeus that used to hang out in the clouds either. But then again back then they didn't know outer space existed. But isn't this like a common knowledge thing? or at least I thought it was. HP getting a $249 million contract to deploy a private cloud service from the US Army??! Isn't that equivalent to saying the US army has decided to deploy a new private cloud service.

Anyway here's the yarn of bureaucracy anyway due to stock market flotation a long time ago…

The department of defense has put down $249 million for HP to set up a private cloud service which is intended to consolidate its current data centers which will cover a number of commercial and government owned buildings.  The more interesting part is that 10 small businesses will also be involved alongside Alabama A&M university in order to assist the process of "actualizing" the private cloud and its requirements.
