I had to see this on two separate sites before finally committing digital letters to a virtual page about it. It looks like Technics apparently finally decided to cease production on their iconic 1200 series DJ turntables. Ok these things were apparently built to last forever (if not a long time) but no doubt even this fantasy measure of almost infinite like durability will still gradually see a more realistic slow trickle of 1200 series turntable making their way to the Technics place in the sky. Will this mean that the value on these things will go up as they become increasingly rarer? Looks like CDJ's can finally lay claim to being the gold industry standard of clubland. Some people just have no idea of the kind of effort that goes into making something like the CDJ2000 reality in its final commercial form especially when you consider all the restrictions there are in place, both official and unofficial.
