e-book libraries? Whats the point?

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Saturday, July 31, 2010,

Its weird how with the push for us to move to digital devices for consuming our literature on we still have to go through certain routines that are completely unnecessary and irrelevant to the medium. At one time if you were strapped for cash you'd simply just go down to your local library to borrow books and then later return them after you'd finished with them. The books at the library have already been bought and paid for by the government with taxpayers money in order for local community ...

I don' think its something that’s specific to Asia at all...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Saturday, July 31, 2010,

I couldn't find a picture for this so I'll just give you the boring words...

I was pretty much raised in the UK for 26 years of my life barely being a year old when my family first arrived there. I can't really say that I identify with Cambodian culture that much with various facets of it that don't necessarily appeal to me at all. To this day there are still certain things I still don't really dig on. I've seen the better sides and lesser sides and overall its been a bit of a culture shock ...

As obvious as Bond isn't a spy

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Saturday, July 31, 2010,

"We've been expecting you Mr. Bond..."

I think most pre-16 year old teens even without highly inappropriate and unnecessary interference from adults of a sexual nature (such as in specific cases of child grooming and child abuse) pretty much discover they have sexual organs that strangely give them pleasure when stimulated a certain way. This kind of self discovery is normal. Masturbation obviously won't make you go blind as some age old made up stories will lead some to believe, probably ma...

G - spot?? (oh man…after an arm twisting and a comparing of notes)

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Tuesday, July 27, 2010,

Ok so evidence of its existence is so anecdotal that there apparently isn't any solid proof amongst the scientific community that it outright exists or that orgasm is even actually achievable for many women via a so called G-spot.  However as a rough guideline (if it does exist) you're going to need a towel  (the kind for drying off with after a shower) handy if you're in the bedroom or otherwise save it for the bathroom as its going to get quite wet if indeed the missus is capable of achievi...

I like electromagnatism too but...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Monday, July 26, 2010,

Electro magnetism is great 'n' all and we know its an observable phenomena in the classic scientific sense. However if life and human behavior was that clear cut as an absolute then we'd have a lot of reason to discriminate against homosexuals just to throw in a flippant example. I might point out that I don't really have any issue with homosexuals as long as its not being imposed on me against my will. Each to their own as it were. Obviously applying such a dynamic as a means of arguing the ...

I advertise vodka??! What brand is it?

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Monday, July 26, 2010,

Sometimes its obviously profitable to have conflict and to affiliate yourself with a particular side whilst riding the backwash of mass divisive manipulation. However I would have thought that the more people you can reach that would potentially enjoy what you do they better since not everybody will be into whatever it is that you have to offer. The colours red and blue obviously carry far more hard wired societal linked and charged meanings then they should.

I dunno who's running my operat...

Choice is good, but there can sometimes also be too much choice in several different contexts

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, July 23, 2010,

Choice is always good, I like choice, we all like choice. But have you ever asked a kid to pick just a few sweets in a sweet shop when they pretty much like every-single-thing in there? It takes a while. Not to mention if there are too many people who do the same thing how do you decide which one offers the highest quality and best in deciding which one to choose? How about when segments and markets become over saturated for the customer base to be spread very thinly prompting low returns w...

...and I thought I had it sussed but obviously I don't...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Wednesday, July 21, 2010,

After we guys orgasm all we want to do is roll over and go to sleep for a while after all the endorphins get released and do their doings. Of course during puberty I remember being so horny that I'd still be lit up and ready to go after getting my rocks off several times over, but oh how that has changed. Girls however don't to seem to have this kind of decline with age and are capable of multiple orgasms within the same single run throughout their life. Meaning after they orgasm once they ...

What is the Job of a DJ?

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Tuesday, July 20, 2010,

What is the underpinning of a wannabe/actual DJ's wants desire within their actual immediate purpose and task when working a dancefloor/crowd? When can a DJ say they had a good night and can go home satisfied that they did what they were supposed to do within their particular style and ability? What causes a DJ to have a bad night?

Now ask me again what the problem was and now tell me what it is you don't understand. Sure there's the potential trappings of superstardom and fame, but all that ...

Simple things to avoid the complications...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Monday, July 19, 2010,

Following on from the previous post…

The best course of action is obviously avoiding some sort of bacterial infection in the first place. Since one course of action might just be to ride it out for the body to clear it up in its own good time whilst it manufactures its own anti-bodies if its something that doesn't actually cause any serious damage. However that could still be a bit of an inconvenience if there is a fair amount of physical pain present.

Obviously a vastly quicker way to re...

Hands are great!... I love 'em, you love 'em, we all love hands!

I don't know what I'd do without my hands since I like to DJ and type stuff. You can do loads of things with hands.

As a consequence of being able to do lots of things with our hands they tend to get pretty grubby quite quickly during the course of a day. They can be quite germ infested even if they don't look grubby. To give you an idea of how germ infested they can become, it would be far more hygienic to lick the toilet bow...

Made up stories...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Monday, July 19, 2010,

I guess the digital age presents many problems, however its becoming more apparent how for years work and personal notes I've done and written in the past that was intended for better things or merely to inform with no subtext can be taken and used for lesser purposes in never actually thinking about publishing it in any way myself. I'm not too sure what the deal is but its only just becoming more and more apparent how certain personal notes and written works I've completed in the past have b...

I'm no expert, but in the rock'n'roll gaming sense... (the selection)

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, July 16, 2010,

I think there might be a miss-conception about what creates the speed with minimal music for producing different things. Its not necessarily about ramping up the BPM count (although that can help depending on circumstance) but more about the ability for all the audio signals to pass through without interfering with one another for each of the sounds across ranges to be heard with clarity, without distortion and with a certain degree of gated separation so there's room for all the sounds whi...

Do you have conclusive evidence to back your standpoint? (If not your standing would be just as invalid as mine is to your mind)

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, July 16, 2010, In : culture

Whilst sitting having a beer the other night at a bar, the general topic of conversation seemed to constantly be skirting around the topic of sexuality. It was obvious where it was headed as my attention was pointed toward the other side of the street where there were a number of Ladyboys knocking about. At this point my mind was cast back to a comment I read in response to some article that was apparently found to be offensive over questions of why transgender and homosexuals are the way the...

The whole issue of global warming and climate change seems to keep cropping up over and over. After you've hopefully finally been made aware of the distinct difference between the two you're pretty much still left with the question of what are we going to do about it?  Because even without the effects of global warming we're still left will the scientifically proven natural phenomena of climate change. So how do we go about averting the next potential naturally occurring ice age or even natur...

Skills...

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, July 2, 2010,

Its definitely getting tricky and after watching a few rounds of Hawtins verbally articulated mind overspill the man generally does make a lot of sense. Yeah, I'm inclined to agree that the almost seeming breakneck speeds at which DJ technology has moved is enough to make a lot of none producing DJ's squirm for the potential lack of superstardom breaking potential and the fact that DJ skill doesn't actually revolve around such a trivial (but at the time of picking it up,- big deal) task of be...

Territory restricted downloads (its a digital store, what's the point?)

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Friday, July 2, 2010,

I don't get the point of territory restricted downloads. Its like going into a record shop and picking up a track off the sales floor that you dig knowing there's a good stack of them out there too having just seen them.  Then when you get to the counter you get told you can't have it whilst an attendant in the store also just happens to pass by the stockroom door behind the counter with a stack of them in his arms. Why don't they just not put them there in there first place if its not for sa...

A bit obvious really but...

The earth itself has many resources that are derived from the energy of the sun. These resources don't just simply disappear into thin air when the sun goes down. On earth there are many atmospheric processes that are intimately linked to biological processes and mechanisms that help convert this energy into the many differing forms that can be used to sustain all the many different forms of life found on the planet in a cyclical manner. After the moon itself took o...

Administering sounds

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Thursday, July 1, 2010,

I don't see what the big  deal is. If a genre of music can still ride the underground and remain seated somewhere near the edge of ''cool'' culture I don't see why it should necessarily want to break the mainstream. More often then not such a thing usually spells the demise of certain types of genres through over exposure if not their cool credibility or for just being crap (the later not necessarily being a bad thing in terms of the wheat n chaff metaphor) and obviously those that are left s...

Intellectual property

I dunno man, as ever its always a catch 22 situation. I'm not too sure majors are too much of a factor where niche music is concerned. Sure if anything suddenly gets some notoriety due to some kind of fortunate placements in terms of potential mass reaching outlet to be heard and wanted by the masses, then yeah maybe majors will have reason to be interested. But generally all the better known electronica music download sites pretty much have all the traditional dance oriented labels as well a...

I can't remember what this was about

Nuclear power. One word, Chernobyl. Imagine if there were many Chernobyl's. I think we'd be a little bit fucked to say the least or that would be the case in its most mildest terms. However since then the technology involved with the production of nuclear power has somewhat improved in its implementation, usage and containment. Some people may hate on me for saying that nuclear power is the only way forward until we can come up with a cleaner means of mass producing power at the same kinds of...

I guess it'd be hypocritical of my to be complaining that I reckon certain sections of the dance music fraternity have gotten a little too anal and cerebral about it all. But I reckon you can't help but be to a certain degree when turning your attention to what a track or production does and what you need them to do in a particular set context. But really, I can't remember the last time someone had a coronary as a direct result of a warping bass line and a filtered jiggling elasticised jackin...

Miss-conceptions of Drum'n'Bass

Posted by Eksovichea Hak on Thursday, July 1, 2010,

Amidst all the in world game playing I'd noticed how some folks generally get a little carried away. From my point of view I can see how easy it could be for it to get this way especially when all the cerebral subtleties of culture and popular culture are scrutinised to the n'th degree for their "suitability" as it were. Although the UK is quite often the testing bed as well being a champion of musical innovation there's definitely a lot more going on below the viewable world surface as the n...
