Mr Joseph's Floating Island EP

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Monday, January 21, 2013 In : Genre: Drum'n'Bass
Absolutely silky smooth D'n'B rolling off the VRecordings label. Mainly liquid D'n'B sounds for this collection put together for the this fine Floating Island EP. Enough words that can't quite describe the not too overly cheesy sun drenched sounds, hear it by clicking on the sampler cloud stream below and you'll know.

Knox - Here ...the live version

A word thrown around too often, but simply sublime in a sultry anguished kind of way, and on the live tip.

DNCN Live @ Ketoloco Leeds 2006

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Friday, December 14, 2012 In : feature: DJ sets

Me want cookies! A constantly evolving off the cuff trip taking you through from slickly sharp glitched up tech,  fresher refined takes on jackin' techno, quirky floor pounders, streamlined broken beats, and a million other shades and flavors all cohesively bubbling and flowing under the techno flag for alternate floors. In his words...

"Ha. This was too much fun. Raw as hell, wasted as fuck, Leeds 2006. Ableton live set, 16 channels, everything in loops, no set sequence, forgetting where i'd ...

Ni Ten Ichi Ryu - (TeeBee Remix) - Photek... (...a peek into the audio vault)

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Monday, December 3, 2012 In : Genre: Drum'n'Bass

A trip into the sound vaults bringing you Teebee's remix of Photek's Ni Ten Ichi Ryu (Two sword technique). I used to absolutely rinse the original on my playlists but this quickly took its place. Still makes me buzz even when I hear it now.

Calyx & Teebee - All or nothing (continuous mix) on RAM records

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Monday, December 3, 2012 In : Genre: Drum'n'Bass

This particular recommendation is for all the drum'n'bass heads out there. This time word of an entire continuous mix from the man Teebee as an urgent recommendation rather than just a single release. I actually stumbled across this whilst trying to acquire a decent quality video stream of Teebee's excellent rework of Photek's ni ten ichi ryu (two sword technique). Straight out of the blocks you're hit with a screw faced inducing, body rocking, jump up stepper that excellently works the fre...

Egbert - Vette Sounds (Secret Cinema Remix)

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 In : Genre: Techno

It's been a while since I've had chance to scout for new tracks, but the long break away from it is definitely a much needed distraction from a bunch of personal crap going down that I could just do without. But what a way to start too. All I can say is this track just blew me away. It kicked off setting me into a gritty techy roll with enveloping tight crisp sonics that had my head gripped like a vice and wrapped my mind around what I thought was just going to be a nice little deep driven ...

James Zebiella eclecticism (...it works)

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 In : feature: DJ sets

A James Zabiella set. He's one of the few DJ's who have managed to ride that line of credibility whilst seriously pushing the eclectic party vibe where others might have generally fallen to the wayside of any kind of notoriety. Could potentially be one of those too kool for skool DJ's if he took himself a little more seriously and maybe took a less eclectic line, but fortunately for us he doesn't, to still somehow sort of land that too kool for skool zone delivering eclecticism for serious f...

Phaeleh - Should Be True

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Monday, November 19, 2012 In : Genre : Chill out

This one definitely delivers on the chill out tip, nothing particularly outstanding but that doesn't mean the quality was lacking in any way to say the very least. Gently ticking hats and rim shots intonating the ticking of time slowly passing as it leads you in toward deep sweet melancholy evoking tones thanks to the  strings and vocals that bring hints of Cinematic Orchestra to the table in terms of sound (or the Corrie theme). It did kind of throw me back to the eighties when the top gu...

Slick 'n' deep Detroit house sounds brought to you by Jozef K & Ellesse, B2B, Live in Sankeys - 29.09.12

Posted by Eksovichea Tito Hak on Monday, October 1, 2012 In : feature: DJ sets

Not much to go on with only half an hour to give you a taster of the more refined deeper taints of detroit house. But it was still more than enough to get in that head nodding zone. Kinda left me itching for the fuller Friday night floor warming session experience. Not bad for a Monday.

Transitions with John Digweed - 20th September 2012 by John Digweed on Mixcloud

Show casing some of the tried and tested bits of the summer and some of the freshest Bedrock signings as seen through the eyes of Jon Digweed over a 60 minute Transitions show. Seems to be fresh off today's press with all the track listings pretty much laid out in the player and over at the Transitions MixCloud page.  If for any reason you're too lazy to read 'em he also pretty much tells what they are over the ...
